From her humble beginnings in a tiny cabin on Galiano Island, Tamara was groomed for a musical life; She started out accompanying her father, a multi-instrumentalist sidewalk entertainer, through North America and Australia at the age of 6. Since releasing her debut CD At My Table in 2006, T. Nile has toured her “unique and heartfelt sonic textures” through North America and Europe to sold out shows, including the main stage at the 2009 Winnipeg Folk Music Festival. Her awards include, “Best New/Emerging Artist” at the Canadian Folk Music Awards, as well as being named “Critic’s Favorite New Discovery” in Penguin Eggs. Most recently, T. Nile was nominated for “Best Contemporary Vocalist” once again at the Canadian Folk Music Awards. Nile momentum continues to build while she records her new LP and prepares for the next wave of touring through Canada, Europe and The USA, in support of her upcoming her new release.

We did come and enjoy the music, food, people and the festival this weekend. It was awesome! The music was great, food was incredible and we left with a fistful of information and a gratifying feeling about being part of something good.
